Camarillo, California - Lots of chili and live country music,
plus fun for the whole family was had at the Camarillo Hospice's second annual Country
Music Festival and Chili Cookoff on
Sunday, September 5, at the Camarillo Ranch.
It was a huge success and “This
year’s International Chili Society
(ICS)-sanctioned chili cookoff was a regional
competition with many participants.
The official Chili Cookoff included a competition
with cash prizes and trophies for the best
salsa as well as the best Chili Verde and Red Chili.
Another area of competition was “People’s
Choice.”
There was live music
performed by the Old Time
Fiddlers, Somis Highway, Tim Buley
Band and Caught Red Handed and a special
“Roundup” fun area for kids.
100.7 KHAY was media sponsor of the event
and was onsite.
